"Vivid red. Nervy and precise on the nose, displaying racy redcurrant and strawberry aromas with a hint of tea rose. Tangy, sharply focused red fruit flavors are complemented and given added cut by suggestions of blood orange and white pepper. Closes taut and spicy, with good length and gripping yet silky tannins." Josh Raynolds, Vinous.
“The nose is beautiful with fresh Bing cherry and black currant with barrel notes of roasted marshmallow and cocoa powder. It’s a fruit-driven drink leading with black cherry and black currant, backed by mild tannins and raspberry acidity that leads to a lengthy finish of chocolate-covered pomegranate and violets.” Outstanding. Great Northwest Wines, June 2015.
"here is a distinct floral note to the appealingly spicy red pinot fruit aromas that exhibit a whisper of briar. There is good verve to the lighter weight and beautifully delineated middle weight flavors that conclude in a dusty and mildly austere finish that does deliver sneaky length. This is somewhat linear and compact at present and I would suggest allowing this a few years of bottle age in the hopes that it will both flesh out and add depth." Score 88. Burghound
Aromatic and perfumed with scents of rose-petal, vanilla, and red cherry.
Cinnamon and graham give the wine a richness and a hint of sweetness.
Tannins are delicate and well integrated, coating your lips and the tip of your tongue.
